Birdtripper will never sell, trade or give lists of email addresses or other personal information to advertisers or anyone else. Ever.
Your informatioin is used by Birdtripper to confirm your identity and to send you information when there is something new on our website.
However, some of the features on any website might collect your information as follows.
Comments
When visitors post in the comment boxes, the data is shared with an automated filter called Akismet to filter out spam. This applies to data entered into the comment boxes only and not for member’s reviews or other member’s information.

Media
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from this type of image.
User-submitted images may be transmitted to image compression servers in the United States and stored there for up to 30 days.
Cookies

Almost all websites collect this information. It is needed to know who our audience is so that we can best direct our product to them. Your name, address and other personal information is not available to us.
Newsletters and emails
We will send emails through the MailPoet sending service. This service allows us to track opens and clicks on our emails. We use this information to improve the content of our newsletters.
No identifiable information is otherwise tracked outside this website except for the email address.
Our newsletter informs you when there is something new on the website or other important information. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter any time and still remain a member. Instead of receiving emails, you can be informed of new information about Birdtripper on our Facebook and Twitter pages by simply liking us on Facebook or follow on Twitter.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Forms
Personal information submitted into forms will be kept by Birdtripper for as long as you are member plus one year after. However, you can delete the information yourself at any time on the member page.
Data entered into reviews and polls will be kept indefinitely.

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
